About Drew Werner, MS, LAT, ATC

WHAT I DO: I teach injured athletes mental skills that will help throughout the recovery process. I help these athletes learn the mental tools of goal-setting, confidence building, imagery, and relaxation. My Return To Play Mindset Program specifically helps ACL injured athletes reach peak performance in the rehab facility, physical therapy clinic, and doctor's office.

WHO I WORK WITH: I work with 1-on-1 with athletes of any skill level and age that have recently suffered an ACL or are in the midst of the recovery process.

WHY IT WORKS: As athletes are dealing with the stresses, anxieties, setbacks, and fears associated with injury the brain's ability to heal is being split into many different directions. Through my program, athletes learn to control and limit the negatives so that the brain is allowed to focus on healing the injury. We work to find their best mindset for the best recovery.

WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT: As a Mental Performance Coach with an MS in psychology: concentration in sport psychology I know the mental skills that are helpful for athletes to reach peak performance. As a Certified Athletic Trainer, I understand the steps that it takes to recover from an ACL injury. There are few people that have the education and practical experiences that I do to help ACL injured athletes reach peak performance throughout rehab.

HOW IT WORKS: The first step is for an ACL injured athlete to set up a FREE 20-minute consultation with me to discuss their needs and injury. As well as provide them the details about the Return To Play Mindset Program.
Then the athlete can sign-up for the program. The program consists of nine 1-on-1 virtual sessions with me that are 50 minutes long. In each session, we will go through different skills, talk about the current needs of the athlete, and discuss their successes. The athlete will be provided with a workbook that we will work through and they have access to other resources when out of session.
