The traumatic knee: a new era in diagnosis and rehabilitation

Melbourne CBD Physiotherapy is extremely excited to launch “The traumatic knee: a new era in diagnosis and rehabilitation” course for health professionals on Saturday 8th October.

Dr. Tim Sayer has pioneered this course from years of clinical experience and research in the field of knee injuries and noticed a lack of education for health professionals regarding diagnosis of complex knee injuries and suitable management. Consequently, this course was developed to specifically build clinicians knowledge on diagnosis and management of traumatic knee injuries pertaining to ligamentous, chondral, bony and instability-related conditions.

This course will provide novel insights to diagnostic and surgical management approaches with the expertise of Mr. Jarrad Stevens (Trauma Orthopaedic Surgeon from Victorian Bone and Joint Specialists) and Ms Wennie Tan (Extended scope practitioner at Frankston Hospital Emergency Department and Physiotherapy provider for Olympic Winter Institute of Australia). Jarrad and Wennie will provide their extensive knowledge on diagnosis of traumatic knee injuries with clinical case examples and video assisted footage of unique treatment approaches. This will be integrated into a comprehensive rehabilitation framework using novel emerging technologies to ultimately return patients to function and sport.
