About Adelle Smener, PT, DPT, CSCS

I believe all ACLers deserve "professional-athlete" care regardless of activity level and goals. My goal is to not only get my ACLers through the tedious journey that is ACL rehab but get them back at 110% with increased knowledge, confidence, and have some fun along the way!

Not all injuries are the same. Not all people are the same. Not all physical therapy is the same. Dr. Adelle Smener holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California and also holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of California, Davis.

Adelle is an LA native through and through – so no surprise she stayed in sunny SoCal for her graduate career, graduating from USC with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy, alongside some of her colleagues here at Prehab PT!

Adelle has extensive experience in sports and orthopedic settings, treating recreational athletes of all ages, specializing in lower extremity and post operative rehab such as ACL injuries, MACI, OATs, and meniscus injuries. In addition to all things knees, Adelle’s professional passions lie in helping active and motivated individuals get back in the gym & on the field/court – no matter their history, complexity, or previous PT experience!

Her clinical approach integrates strength and conditioning principles into a rehab setting, to ensure all her patients get back to the things they love at 110%! She focuses on taking a proactive and personalized approach to help guide and empower her clients and get them back to living their best lives!

She utilizes a novel new technique, blood flow restriction (BFR) training, with her clients to build muscle and increase strength which allows for an accelerated recovery in early stages of rehab.

Adelle has continued to expand her skillset and thirst for growth by getting certified in Pilates via Polestar Pilates, taking doctoral students & new graduates under her wing as a clinical instructor and mentor, and is now pursuing her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification (CSCS) to further develop bridging the gap between rehabilitation and performance.

As human beings, we only get one body to last us a lifetime, and it is of the utmost importance to give our body the quality care and attention it deserves. That is why Adelle believes that focusing on one-on-one evidence-based movement re-integration, functional strengthening, and patient education is essential in providing long-lasting results and reaching your highest potential!
    “It's not just physical - it's personal”
