About Dr. Nathan Harris, PT, DPT, ATC, CSCS
My name is Dr. Nate Harris and I am the owner and lead physical therapist at Velocity Sports Physical Therapy in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. I specialize in working with athletes recovering from ACL reconstruction and other sports-related knee injuries. My approach to ACL rehabilitation focuses on more than just healing the ligament. Successful return to sport requires restoring strength, power, movement quality, and confidence while minimizing re-injury risk. I use evidence-based rehabilitation principles combined with objective strength and performance testing to guide athletes through each stage of recovery and ensure they are fully prepared before returning to sport.
Many athletes complete physical therapy but still feel unsure when returning to sprinting, cutting, or jumping. A key part of my philosophy is bridging the gap between traditional rehabilitation and true return-to-sport performance. Athletes must demonstrate the strength, control, and capacity to tolerate the demands of their sport before returning to competition.
At Velocity Sports Physical Therapy, each athlete receives an individualized program based on their sport, position, and performance goals. My goal is to help athletes return to sport safely, confidently, and stronger than before their injury.
Our facility includes:
Strength and performance training equipment
Open turf for running and return-to-sport progressions
Plyometric and jump training equipment
Objective strength and performance testing tools (force plates, dynamometry)
