About James Phillips, MSc, BSc, CSCS

As I'm a Strength & Conditioning Coach, I have applied performance training principles and methods to ACL rehabilitation. I am hugely interested in ACL rehabilitation and have over 10 years experience rehabilitating patients back to sport following standard ACL reconstruction to multi-ligament knee surgery. I've helped high end athletes return to international competition to weekend warriors playing with friends.

I pride myself on providing the best practice and care possible, both in person & online. Part of my service includes on field rehabilitation which closes the gap between strength & power development in the gym and competing in sporting environments.

I also teach on the 'Complete ACL Rehab Course' alongside physiotherapist, Andrew Goodall, delivering an in-person 2 day course teaching physiotherapists, S&C coaches, athletic trainers & physical therapists ACL rehabilitation.

Teaching others means I have to stay up to date with the latest research and have contributed to the ACL literature in 2022 via The Knee Journal (Variables associated with successful outcome after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction in recreational athletes: a prospective cohort study).
“88% expect to return to same level of sport but only 65% actually do”
